A few examples of gold plating performed using MGP 3001 system.

On the left of this photo you can see a badly pitted Door lock set.

The original brass finish did not stand up to the weather.

On the right of the photo, the lock set has been restored and

gold plated with 24 carat hard gold to produce a far more

attractive (and durable) appearance than the original,

Selective area brush plating is ideal for replating delicate jewellery items.

For instance using immersion plating, a watch requires disassembly

(and removal of leather strap if fitted) before replating.

The jeweller would then send the watch casing to a commercial plater.

 Time consuming and very expensive!

Using brush plating, the watch case can be replated in minutes.

A solid pewter Wafer Tray.

This tray now has a rich gold surface to match

other items used in the Chapel.

Before and after photos of a silver Chalice plated with 24 carat hard gold.

The users of the silver Chalice reported that very frequent polishing

was required to remove tarnish and  maintain the silver appearance.

The application of 24c gold has removed the need for constant polishing.
Simple washing now maintains the pristine appearance.
